Prof. Gershman comments on jury selection in SAC Capital Advisors trial

Various on-line news outlets ran a post reporting on the latest developments in the criminal case against Michael Steinberg, the most senior SAC Capital Advisors LP employee to face insider trading charges. The article included a quote from Professor Bennett Gershman, a former New York City prosecutor.

At the time of this report, the Steinberg trial is in the midst of jury selection and a reporter from  asked Professor Gershman for his perspective on the process.

“It’s reading tea leaves,” Gershman is quoted as saying. “You never know what you’re going to get when you select a jury. A lot of it is guess work and prayer.”
