Does it matter if shooting was “accidental” asks Prof. Gershman

Professor Bennett Gershman discusses the case against Theodore Wafer, the man accused of killing 19-year-old Renisha McBride. McBride had stepped onto his porch seeking assistance after she crashed her car. In his Huffington Post blog, Professor Gershman notes that Wafer claims his gun discharged “accidentally.”

“Even if the shooting was accidental, as Wafer has claimed, is he nevertheless potentially guilty of murder or manslaughter?” asks Professor Gershman.
