Prof. McDonnell comments on Obama administration’s response to events in Egypt
Professor Thomas McDonnell, an expert in national security law, responded to an editorial in “The New York Times” about the Egyptian courts sentencing 680 people to death. His Letter to the Editor notes:
“The broader lesson is that, by failing to take a strong stand against the military coup ousting an unpopular but freely democratically elected president from the Muslim Brotherhood, the Obama administration violated fundamental American values respecting the rule of law and the peaceful electoral process.”
