Riverkeeper shares news of Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic’s victory
Riverkeeper, the environmental group that works to protect the Hudson River, reported on the successful effort to defeat an exemption to the Clean Water Act that had allowed companies and municipalities to pollute pristine waterways, including the Hudson River and its tributaries. The Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic serves as legal counsel to Riverkeeper and Pace Law students had helped prepare as well as argue this case in court.
“I also see this as protecting the Clean Water Act itself,” says Professor Dan Estrin, who serves as supervising attorney for the Clinic.
