Christian Science Monitor quotes Prof. Bartow on surveillance activity

With technology corporations leading the effort against US government surveillance, “The Christian Science Monitor” explored possible reasons for this initiative. Among the experts they quoted was Professor Ann Bartow whose scholarship has focused on privacy and technology law.

“These companies want to provide a unified front and make it appear as though they are standing up for the privacy rights of American citizens,” Professor Bartow is quoted as saying. “Even though they themselves compromise individual privacy quite dramatically.”
